I set out to photograph every crack at the memorial

The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin is made up of nearly 3,000 concrete slabs varying in height. The vague-ness of the design and it’s risk of crumbling in onto itself motivated my performative action seeking to photograph every crack I saw combing through the rows of concrete. I was hunched over and guided by my camera, following an unreasonable path through other bodies to find as many hairline cracks I could until I reached exhaustion.
